The estate

Domaine Adélie is located in the Côte Chalonnaise village of Mercurey. Its 7,8 hectares of vines are divided among different plots that produce delectable, rich red wines and subtle, elegant whites.

The estate is named after Albéric Bichot’s daughter who was born in 2003, further anchoring the Bichot family’s roots in Burgundy from generation to generation.

Respect for the terroir and for nature is essential for us. We practice sustainable and organic viticulture. Starting with the 2018 vintage, the wines of Domaine Adélie will bear the certified “organic wine” label.

The wines

Mercurey 1er Cru "Champs-Martin"

Our "Champs-Martin" plot is located on rather steep, south-facing slopes where the brown soil contains limestone and clay.

This fresh, typical, elegant Mercurey offers pleasing aromas and flavours of strawberry and vanilla. It is both fleshy and velvety with a balanced base featuring harmonious oak.

Mercurey "En Pierre Milley"

Our Mercurey "En Pierre Milley" plots enjoy southwest-southern exposure.

This Mercurey is redolent of wild aromas with notes of red and black berries. It is full of finesse and boasts a long, pleasing finish.

White Mercurey "Les Champs Michaux"

Our "Champs-Michaux" Chardonnay vines are planted in soil that contains a high proportion of clay, but in which large beds of calcareous rocks are also found.

This wine features a delicate nose that opens up to aromas of white-fleshed fruit, vanilla and a well-balanced oaked base. It is pleasingly nervous on the palate and boasts lovely length.
