Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Héritage 1831"
Situation
Bourgogne
Level
AOC Régionale
Grape variety
Pinot noir
Burgundy has been the preferred terroir for the cultivation of Pinot Noir grapes for centuries. The region is renowned throughout the world for its ability to allow this varietal to express all of its aromatic finesse and fruity elegance. Low yields favour the production of wines with silky, mouth-filling tannins and a long finish. The fact that this varietal is grown in calcareous clay soils at varying altitudes on east and southeast facing slopes lends freshness and complexity to the wines. The old vines that we have selected are deeply rooted in the soil. The resulting wines boast better structure, giving them increased potential for barrel ageing.
