This appellation is located in the village of Vergisson in southern Burgundy. Even if the geological characteristics of Pouilly-Fuissé are among the most diversified in all of Burgundy, these vines are planted in limestone soil that contains no shale.
Tasting
This Pouilly-Fuissé "Le Clos" has smoky notes followed by very fine aromas of white flowers and linden blossom. The palate is round and supple with fantastic balance between roundness and vivacity. This expressive, rich, full-flavoured wine has a long, refreshing finish.
Food/wine pairing
This wine is a beautiful match for fish, seafood and white meats in sauce, or full-flavoured cheeses.
Serving and keeping
Serve between 12 and 14°C. (53°F - 57°F)
