Beaune is the historical capital of Burgundy wines. It is also an often-neglected appellation that nonetheless boasts numerous terroirs that have very interesting characteristics.
Tasting
Light first nose, with a touch of smoke and vanilla, punctuated by aromas of red fruit (raspberry, cherry). Delectable on the palate with well-defined structure and the same flavours perceived on the nose along with notes of cherry and plum. The finish is intense with notes of liquorice, violet and plum.
Food/wine pairing
Ideal wine for fine dishes such as red meat, mild game, and mild, delicate cheeses.
