Located in the Côte de Beaune above Meursault, this small appellation produces red and white wines that deserve to be better known. The appellation has a surface area of 120 hectares (296 acres) under vine of which about a dozen are white. The appellation’s red wines boast remarkable structure and are a pleasure to drink even in their youth.
Tasting
The nose features aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and plum aromas. Fleshy and powerful, this harmonious wine is virile and robust. The finish is persistent and full-flavoured.
Food/wine pairing
Ideal with tender red meat dishes, small game, dishes cooked in wine sauce and delicate cheeses.
Serving and keeping
Serve between 14°C and 16°C (57°F - 60°F)
